Black Women Writers Event

2 – 6pm

Writing with confidence – a workshop for Black Women Writers with Maureen Roberts (in conjunction with African Writers Abroad).

This free workshop aims to make women writers aware of and appreciate their own unique style of writing through exercises and discussion. Participants will learn and explore methods to begin and structure their writing.

Maureen Roberts has an MA in Education from Western Carolina University and an M.A. in creative writing, from Goldsmith College. Her first collection of poetry, My Grandmother Sings to Me, is published by Bogle L’Ouverture.

I think I am going to clear away my schedule and go do this on Saturday.

I think it’s no coincidence I’m going up to London tomorrow morning.

I think it’s just what I need right now…
