This thing with Ist is heartbreaking, but I have some good news to report.
I have a job interview. My first REAL face to face interview since I’ve been in England. I’ve got to get up to Birmingham on Sunday, to get ready for a job interview on Monday morning at 10.30pm. It’s a good job, a good position paying good money.
I just got off the phone with my friend, Keffi’s friend, now my mentor and good friend, and she’s said (AMAZINGLY) that the lodger in her back room has left… gone off to the Swiss Alps to take a job and her back room is available. She’ll meet me at the train station on Sunday night and help me sort out my travel arrangements to get to the interview in the morning.
I have a job interview! In Birmingham! Where I always said I wanted to go from the time I started talking about coming to England…
I’m still puffy eyed over this thing with Ist, but this news has certainly made me feel much better.
Kenton if you’re reading this, don’t feel bad because I’m so relieved to get this kind of news. I need this!
Even if it doesn’t turn into a job, I’ll be able to get up to Birmingham for a visit with a dear friend, and a few days away from dull-ass Kent.
Don’t you think it’s freaky I’m bitching about this this morning, and everything changed by this afternoon.
I kind of feel like a pea in a tin can…
